Our Vision
Last year when we found the premises at 35 Richards Avenue, Surry Hills to house our offices (mhndu.com), we knew we had to share this beautiful space with everybody.
We held an internal ideas competition for the garage space and the winning entry was a profit for purpose cafe that would exhibit work from local and unrepresented artists.
We will donate all profits to a chosen charity each quarter.
We have an awesome local barista Joaquin, who makes mornings almost bearable with his perfect coffee and infectious laugh.
All materials and fittings used in wilson’s fitout are recycled and re-purposed thanks to our friends at Architecture Factory and since we know we have some mistakes to make and lessons to learn, we have opened as a pop up, with a permanent fitout planned for a later date.
How your coffee helps
For the first quarter in 2020 we were raising funds for Red Cross Australia. We are now proudly working with Autism Spectrum
We try to partner with different charities and have fundraisers that occur every second month. For February we celebrated all things Mardi Gras and hosted a bake sale to donate all profits to Rainbow Families NSW.

We cannot imagine wilson without his beautiful smile each morning, his spanish lessons and of course… his coffee.
Joaquin moved to Australia from Colombia in 2000. Coming from a family who ran a restaurant for 40 years, he had a dream to have his own cafe one day. He took cooking classes at TAFE, familiarised himself with Sydney and the english language, and with his love for good coffee and Colombian food that sends you home happy… his celebrated business ‘Cafe Con Leche’ was born in Surry Hills,.
Now Joaquin is passionate about all things wilson and, with the added bonus that all profits go to a charity, his smile is even bigger.
